MEDIA BRIEFING – 39TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE, OPA

The Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) hosted a Media Briefing for its 39th Annual Conference, themed “Envisioning Sri Lanka: Beyond Recovery,” on Thursday, 9 July 2026, from 6.00 p.m. onwards at the OPA Auditorium, Colombo 07.

The 39th Annual Conference, recognised as the organisation’s flagship professional forum and a key event in its annual calendar, was scheduled to be held on 11 and 12 August 2026 at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo. The media briefing was convened to present the conference theme, objectives, and strategic significance, while highlighting OPA’s role in fostering professional dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration, and thought leadership on issues of national importance.

The conference was expected to bring together distinguished professionals, business leaders, academics, and other stakeholders to exchange perspectives, examine emerging challenges and opportunities, and explore innovative pathways towards sustainable development. The OPA also invited members of the media to engage with this important national forum and to share its key insights, deliberations, and outcomes with the wider public, thereby enhancing awareness of the vital contribution of Sri Lanka’s professional community to national progress and prosperity.

The event was followed by fellowship and dinner, providing an opportunity for networking and engagement among participants.
