Brainstorming Session on “Towards a Merit-Based and Competency-Driven Public Service: Strengthening Transparency, Professionalism and Institutional Performance.”

The Organisation of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA), through its National Issues Committee organized a brainstorming session on the theme, “Towards a Merit-Based and Competency-Driven Public Service: Strengthening Transparency, Professionalism and Institutional Performance.” The session was held on 22 June 2026 at 6.00 p.m. at the OPA Auditorium. Eng. Chamil Edirimuni was the Moderator of this Session.

The participation of distinguished attendees greatly enriched the discussion and contributed to the formulation of informed, practical, and forward-looking recommendations aimed at advancing meritocracy, professionalism, and institutional excellence within Sri Lanka's public service framework.
